Sugar Farms is an artisanal marketplace that offers primarily locally sourced gifts that are handmade and/or one-of-a-kind. We will offer products for the keen buyer wanting something that is not only unique but also of high-quality. From our décor to our staff, our goal is to cater to both locals and tourists wanting a hands-on approach focusing on quality customer service that you would receive in an old-world farmer’s market. A place where locals are known by name and visitors are welcomed like family.
Our shop has a vintage décor and old-world ambience allowing all of our guests to feel comfortable. We will feature various vendor stalls focusing on each artisan’s creations. Within each space will be a small story about not just the product but the creator of the product to add a personal touch so that buyers can see exactly how the product came to be and by whose hands it was created.
For over a decade, Rosana Rader has been helping artists, galleries, and publishers around the world find success. From developing sales training programs to coming up with innovative event concepts, her vast wealth of knowledge and proven track record in driving profits make her an integral part of each company she has consulted for. Prior to being one of the co-creators of Sugar Farms Marketplace, Rosana was an art consultant, boasting million in sales, before being promoted to Executive Director of Operations, where she was responsible for overseeing five galleries.
When she’s not busy concocting creative sales initiatives and promoting her global clientele, Rosana enjoys spending time with her children—she’s the proud mother of a 16-year-old daughter and two handsome boys ages 12 and 9. In addition to spending time with her family, Rosana loves reading, writing, and relaxing on the lake.
Michael Smith has a strong work ethic, with a background working with the state and later PG&E he has now moved on to being one of the co-creators of Sugar Farms Marketplace. With a keen mind that is detail oriented and a strong grasp on finances he is the perfect fit to the other half of the SFM team. Alongside Rosana they raise their three children and whenever he has a moment to spare, you will find him fishing, biking, hunting, and doing any and all outdoor activities.
Due to his strong passion for the outdoors, Michael will bring unique handmade items for the outdoorsman to SFM. With a key area that focuses on adventure we will offer handmade fishing lures, custom inlayed knives, hand-tooled leather belts, alongside much, much, more.
